Do you Canadian Pontiac guys have Rochester or Briggs & Stratton keys?
(Preview)
I've been told my Canadian 65 Chevy would have had Rochester keys as delivered new. A major ebay seller has never seen Rochester blanks in 30 years in the business, only cut ones he matches to cylinders. Not keen on changing out my cylinders to get Rochester key and lock sets unless Rochester can be conf...

What would be the difference in gas tanks between 67 and 69
(Preview)
A few companies are now starting to offer EFI fuel tanks, and I'd like to consider that for my black (non-stock) car. But even though the rear suspension is the same 65-70, the tanks are only offered in EFI fitment up through 1967. Does anyone know what the difference is? Venting, lines, physical sha...

Neutral safety in a four speed car 1969
(Preview)
Down at the column, just as you would with an automatic, I have a double purple connector that is the neutral safety switch. It's jumpered, however. I presume that was a previous owner and not factory? Does it connect to the column in the same way an automatic does and then all the funky mechanical lin...

TORQUE DRIVE transmission - anyone had one?
(Preview)
My 1969 shop manual talks about the Torque Drive transmission, which it describes as basically a Powerglide with the automatic shifting removed. So you start out in D and get used to lazy 1:1 acceleration? Or you start out in L and shift to D every time? Just curious how people lived with them. Also wh...

Bought a new set of heads
(Preview)
So it turns out my heads on my 427/390 have a small crack in an exhaust seat. The shop was not concerned, said they weld them all the time, and I'm also having new hardened seats installed anyway. Before I knew the extent of the crack I searched around to see if I could find a head with a similar date. Min...

Does a 1969 have a brake pedal return spring?
(Preview)
My pedal assembly I just restored does not; I cannot get at my coupe from here, but the assembly manual shows it with a spring that wraps around it. Anyone know?

Anyone interested in reproduction 427 emblems for 1969?
(
1 2
)
(Preview)
If I can't find a good emblem, I will have my one good one duplicated, but it's not going to be cheap. I think 350-500 or so (and I really wouldn't pay more than that, I don't think). It doesn't come down much in volume, since they have to be 3d printed in metal one at a time. But the modelling costs get amor...

Restored my distributor
(Preview)
I need to have someone check it for play to make sure the little it has isn't too much, but otherwise I humbly submit that it turned out fairly nice, considering what I started with. It was totally seized up. Never having done this before I wasn't really sure how much grease to pack in the 'reservoir', s...

Does anyone have some good pics of your under hood insulation? Perhaps some close up pics of the fasteners that hold it in place? Should it be glued in as well with contact cement? Can new ones be purchased? If so from where? Thanks ,Greg

Using a bumper jack on the front of a '69
(Preview)
Anyone else ever have trouble? I remember trying it once out of necessity on the roadside and it pulled the bumper way out of alignment. I don't think it's structurally sound for lifting the whole car... or at maybe my car just wasn't tight! Now that I think about it, I remember it tearing the slot when...

67 convertible top frame
(Preview)
There is a guy on Youtube who has an antique store in Edmonton. I was watching one of his recent videos tonight and he was picking items in an attic and there was a convertible top frame and the owner of the house said it was from a 67 Pontiac. I figured I would post about it in case somebody on here might have a...

Little plastic ebrake pull handle bushing?
(Preview)
I could use a grommet, but there's supposed to be a plastic bushing that pops into this, where I crudely circled. Has anyone seen it reproduced for Chevelles or Camaros maybe? Mine's worn out, a problem likely unique to manual trans cars!

Is this a rare Ram Air V tach?
(Preview)
...or merely a common JCWhitney? It came on my car, and before I toss it in the bucket of despair, wanted to make sure it wasn't a factory piece! There are no markings that I could find but it's surprisingly heavy and well made. I'm guessing vintage aftermarket? -- Edited by davepl on Sunday 18th of Fe...

Thought I'd keep this separate from the wheels. Here's a pic of my newly "restored" (ie: cleaned and repaired and retaped) dash harness fusebox. But I don't recall what the red connector on the brown wire is about. Power seats? -- Edited by davepl on Tuesday 13th of February 2018 08:45:53 PM

Does the rally wheel option get you 4 or 5?
(Preview)
I don't know that anyone here will know and I don't know how to find out, now that I think about it, but: if you got the rally wheel option did you get a fifth rally in the trunk or just a stamped 15" wheel?
