hi 50s pontiac peeps. We know the later canadian pontiacs are chev based, including ones shipped around the world from Canada. Are the 50s ponchos chev or pontiac based for canada? or are they the same whether US or canadian?

Changing fuel tank on a 57 Canadian Pontiac. Have a new tank from 57 Chev to replace old one. Tanks are the same other than the vent tube on original that runs up the filler neck and no fitting for one on new chevy tank.
