Wouldn't want to bore any one (like the drive itself.)

20 years ago I did the 500 mile drive west from Thunday Bay to home in our "new" Buick Roadmaster and totally loved it. But granted it's not likely for everyone. The Arrogant Worms are pretty funny.

I'm a computer idiot, tried to find. Can you post a link??? Can always seem to find anything I don't care about ..with no problems!!!
Thanks again for the plug Carl! This two hour block actually will have a travelling theme as I have to to drive to Hinton right after the the show for a course the next day. There may be some songs about driving and maybe even a couple about the joys of taking the bus. Should be pretty good entertainment for the price!

So far I can still afford the price of admission but once you are world famous I likely won't be able to...

So far I have gotten a free coffee at the local gas bar. (only because the carafe was almost empty and she felt sorry for me) It's definitely going to my head. That does give me an idea for a song set on fame though. Roger Miller, the Beatles and Joe Walsh will be joining up to say what its like! Next week though.

Would love to listen. Is there any recorded portions that could be downloaded and listened to later?

Actually, and Carl can attest to this, I look exactly like Statler, one of the two old hecklers!
Sorry Cliff, its a low-budget (actually no-budget) live show. I might prerecord some episodes later on as I will have to miss part of the summer. Basically I just play what I like: folk, country, jazz, rock, gospel, novelty, even a bit of classical out of my collection of cylinders, 78's, eight tracks, cassettes, LP's, 45's, CD's, etc, and talk about the music a bit too. There usually is no overall theme, although last night was all about travel, but I try to hook three or four related songs together. I will try to stick in more comedy stuff to try and make it more varied. So far lots of fun but more work than I thought to assemble 35 songs or so in a way I like (i.e. kind of random but no entirely)

You've done a bang up job so far Ken. My tastes in music are very limited but you easily keep my attention for the 2 hours because chances are, if I don't like the one you are playing, I'll like the next one.

Wow! If I can keep Carl happy the next goal is impressing my wife! (By the way Carl, I have no money to send you for the plug-remember it's a no-budget show!)

Alright reminder time! This weeks program should be right up your alley at least for the duration of the car tunes I plan to play. Should be quite the mix from english pub music to songs about cats to some doo wop and even a feature on yodeling (probably shouldn't have mentioned that!)
Monday at 6 O'clock Alberta time on Boreal FM. There is a link in this thread.
