Some local cars.

Here's a couple of local 65 Parisiennes, a ragtop and hardtop. Sorry don't know too much about them, but thought I'd post the photo.

Very neat. There is one in Winnipeg, a hardtop I looked at for sale years ago. 327, factory 4 speed car. He had added the extra inner tail light from a Bonneville to it. The guy selling it told me that he and 3 friends all ordered 65's about the same time. The other 2 guys had bought 409 cars!!! No, he did NOT know where those cars had gone. You better believe I asked him!

Back in the late '90's, there was a burgandy '65 CS hardtop for sale in Calgary, It was a small block 4spd car with a black interior. Asking price was $6000, which I would gladly pay for that clean a car now. Have you seen that car around?

WOW, sweet cars.....
Was a 66 Grande Parisienne 427, 4sp for sale. Outside Wpg. in the mid-eighties.
Took it for a test drive, sweet ride, didn't have the 5K for it then.
Man I should've gotten the money somehow.
Would be sweet today.

Both still require a lot of work.

I don't remember anyone coming to see it when I had it advertised. I finally sold it to Edmonton.

With that said, read this:

Carl, do you still work for GM (dealership?)
Hmm, I think it was about 1987, maybe late in the year.
Trying to remember where we went to see it.
I think I had my friend Darryl with me? or maybe it was my brother.
But anyways, I was trying to get the money together for it and couldn't.
I was not a happy camper.
I'd probably still have it today. Dang, snall world.

I'm still at the same dealership. Did you come there to test drive the car? I am struggling to remember all this. Why didn't you give me a kick and tell me not to sell that car??? LOL

LOL.
I'm pretty sure I came to a house.
I remember driving into a large yard, big garage in background.
We went up the street and into town. Do you live on the outskirts of town?

This was at the Millwoods Mall in south east Edmonton.

Yes,if you had driven past our house, there is one more to the stop sign and then it's open field, so it would have seemed like the edge of town, yup. We don't live there any more. It would have been 2 blocks back to the highway you came in on. That garage was a good sized double, now I have more to work with, fortunately! And hopefully building another this spring...

Oh, I miss that car. However, my wife plays organ at church, and we needed the money to buy an organ for at home. I never regret making that sacrifice for her. She's the kind of woman that I'd do the same thing again without thinking twice about it.

Besides, I have an iron in the fire right now for a twin to that car with a small block. But small block-itis is a disease that is easily cured with the correct application of big block medicine!!!
