I've already posted pictures of my Beaumonts. Here are pictures of some Beaumonts I have seen at shows around the Western NY /Southern Ontario area. This 1st one is the only othe SD-396 convertible I have ever seen in person. It showed up at the Grand Island Can AM Chevelle meet in 2005. It was great to get a picture of 3 68 SD Converts all together.
This one is for extra credit. Does anyone know who owns this car. This is a picture from 1989. Hint is the person that owns this car posts on this site. Any ideas?
Beaumontbill, On your posting a day ago you have a picture of a 70,2+2 that looks identical to what my dad had 15 years ago. Sold it to a kid in Edmonton. Wondering if that picture came from Alberta somewere.Have you gotten any reply to its owner yet?
Scott, That picture was taken about 6 years ago I believe at the Pontiac Owners Club convention in Buffalo NY. I met the owner who was quite knowledgable about Canadian Ponchos, but I can't remember his name. I believe he was from Southern Ontario. Sorry I can't give you anymore info.
This is my 67 SD early sports option 283/pg car... it has 78000 orig miles, i bought it when i was 14 in 1987, did a 2 year frame on resto, it has been sunday cruiser ever since and is still on the 20 year old restoration, still sports the original interior, vinyl top and weatherstripping... was most recently a 430HP/350 (low 12s thru the exhaust) and this spring will see a BBC swap, to a mild 396...
mine is 736, also had a gold/gold 1967 SD w/a 283/PG, also 736 vin... there were 738 cars being made at the same time, when i received my GM documentation i had the copy of the the production book with all the consecutive cars produced (it was free to call them in back then) i had called in to get the info on the 738 cars with lots of options... if i recall one was a 350hp green/green and the other was a 325hp bolero red, black vinyl top and redline tires! sweet rides!
Great pictures of the Beaumonts at SIR. I tried to go on their site to look at some more pics but couldn't find any archive. Do you have a link or an address?
