It looks like it would break in half if you moved it. A parts car at best I think. Sad.

you know what 'grinds my gears'? people(idiots) who will let a desirable car rot back to the earth rather than sell it to someone who'll make something of it again. furious

That gets me too. Or the same people that watch Barrett-Jackson and think their rotting shell of a car should be worth "the big bucks" restored so they should get a lot for it the way it is.

that car, if it is an SD, would be 1/72 made, and a BBC car... there was one on ebay a year or two ago in about the same shape, maybe a little less rust, but less complete and i think it sold for more than $10,000... no motor, just a shell... i only bid up to about $4k, it was in the maritimes as well... i may have some pics on my computer...

Amen!  I agree!   Theres a ton of stuff out there.. My truck(2500HD) Is stored uptown, in a garage, beside a  66 L79 Nova. (thats not for sale, and been going to "fix up since 1979"..    I was going to find a rust free chevelle conv.and make it a 67 Beaumont SD  , but after watching B-J ,I dont think, I can find a body, at a bearable price.. I am going to call and get VIN number, and buy a package from George and have just keep info for my/our viewing..  Carl #2

Someone should start a big block Beaumont registry if there isn't one already...

I have thought about this for quite a while but I'm not sure how to go about doing it. Would you trust just anyone with your information?
I have copies of GM documentation on 11 SD cars that I have got over the years. I have also been keeping track of production numbers for the Beaumonts as well.

Do you send your information to a Pontiac Registry or is there a Canadian Pontiac Registry?

Got that right...i know where there is a 67 Beaumont conv....327/4sp sitting beside  his parents house....has been covered up for the last 10 years. I know his parents quite well...They say he wont sell it...and am tired of it sitting there.

There is a Canadian Pontiac registry but I don't have the address handy. They are not online. If you were thinking of doing a 396 Beaumont registry I'd contact the Shelby or Yenko registry to find out how they manage it and deal with privacy issues. There is also a Buick GSX registry:
http://www.buickgsx.net That site might give you some good information.

Hey SD396,

I've been documenting these cars for quite sometime. I'd be happy to discuss with you a registry of some type. I've had many people send me information on their cars with out any privacy issues. I believe if you're trying to help folks restore and maintain these cars then someone has to "step up to the plate" and be the resource.

I've been doing just that with our club for the last thirteen years. Not one piece of specific information about someone else's car is supplied without the owner being the one doing it.
I have qutie a number of buildsheets on a multitude of cars that doesn't mean I'm just handing out information on a whim.

If you like check me out. I've been dealing with George Zappora and Frank Acqueci (Vintage Vehicle Servies) since 1991 when they took over from Roy Mercier. I've helped document cars that were built in Oshawa and then exported all over the world among many others. I've met both of them personally the last three of four years at AutoFest in Oshawa (2004-2006).

I probably have one of the bigger files at Vintage Vehicle services having paid for close to one hundred cars to be documented. I'm no "fly by nighter" or "wingnut", I'm an enthusuiast who enjoys learning more about the Canadian built cars and assisting folks in learning as much about their cars as possible.

427 Carl

If you luck out and get the VIN number and cowl tag information could get in touch with me. I'd like to add that car back to the '67 Beaumont assembly line if possible.

While it may rot to nothing, if we can get the VIN numer and cowl tag the car can at least be used as tool to help someone else. If not then it lost to history and the dirt.

Dave,
Are you documenting all Canadian Pontiacs from that era or strictly Beaumonts?

Hi Dave
I replied to this under a new topic heading in General Beaumont Discussions

Todd,

My main interest is Beaumonts, but let me say this...   I never saw a Canadian built Pontiac I didn't like.   I don't have a lot of information on the full size cars or the Ventura/Phoenix but if you're patient with me I'll try to do the best  can for you.

I'm willing to tackle American built Pontiacs as well.   My main field of interest is the 60's, 70's and 80's.

I bid on that car in N.S OR N.B.-can't remeber where it was again-but I ran the numbers on it first and still have the GM documentation-it was one of 25 big block stripe cars-for real. The side stripe deleted the rear sport deluxe quarter emblems.I bid $11 large and lost the auction.
