I happen to be an automotive trivia nut, with an interest in the unique parts of Canadian Pontiacs. Years ago, I did up a bunch for a trivia test to use when a few of us fellow car guys were on the road to auto wreckings or swap meets. I plan to post some from time to time in the appropriate section, if that's ok. I hope anyone with any to add will do so, or correct my mistakes as they occur!

Pontiac Canada ,to my knowledge only put chrome valve covers and air cleaner lid on one engine in the B-Body cars, and for only one year. What engine, what year ?
Ya Mike, it was not like Pontiac to do this on the B cars, kinda neat though ! I forgot thought that this was only on the 2+2 model, Carl so thanks for that !

That 64 409 CS I tracked down had chrome valve covers and a chrome air cleaner, the entire air cleaner not just the lid and I the 65 I posted yesterday has the same,
That sask 65 409 car is as original as it gets and the engine shot shows chrome. My bros 65 is the same. The Canadian chrome ones are do not have any embossing on them unlike the chevy ones.
64 409 may have had the same treatment.

Yes i stand corrected on the painted base, it's just that on that style of air cleaner you can't see it easily. I love it when I am right !!! That's twice today
