'67 427 2+2 ragtop production?

Does anyone know how many '67 Pontiac 2+2 convertibles were made with the 427? A friend of mine knows of one that has been sitting in the original owners garage for years. He won't part with it..

Hi Todd,
We need some people who have documention to reveal what they know. Your request is for 67 427's, I am also curious about all of the big blocks and all of the 4 speeds.
I have never seen a 67 427 car but I talked to a gentleman who said he has a 427 convertible in the Okanagan and my Pontiac Club buddies saw one in Vernon back in 1999. This one is red like mine.
Beyond that people have made claims like "there were only 50 427 2+2's built", this is a number that I thought might be correct, but it would be good to hear from someone who really knows. I once saw a number in print that mentioned that there a very small number of 427 cars built in Canada, 800 rings a bell, but "oldtimers" disease does not allow me to provide "reliable" information.
I heard a story about a 427 4 speed in Saskatchewan, but have never seen it.
From the GM documentation I received for my car I know that there were approximately 1,400 2+2 convertibles built in 1967 and that convertibles were approximately 25% of the total 2+2 production. The documentation states that 39 2+2's had the 396/4speed combination. I have seen one of these in Langley BC, it's an original owner white hardtop with a black vinyl top.

Hi all. I'm new here.  My first car was a 67 pontiac parisienne with jet flame 427,385 horse. Too bad it is buried 5 feet under now. The car I have now is a 67 pontiac parisienne 2+2 396. Original engine and drive train.I installed a 427 that took me just about 3 years to find sitting on a guys garage floor all apart, needless to say he needed money so I got the engine mighty cheap. I have the 396 totally rebuilt and together  sitting in a crate on my garage floor.   Front disk brakes, headrests, factory shoulder belts, electric rear ant.  I was very lucky to find this car in Calgary. Spent alot to restore . I have 2 of these. One is a parts car.Parts car was also 396.  Also have a 68 parisienne 2 door hardtop with 327. 65 parisienne 2 door hardtop with 283. 67 Grande Parisienne 2 door hardtop 327. Need 1/4 panels for the G.P. What a surprise eh. I know where there are 2 more 2+2's, and a few 67 hardtops. I guess you just can't have enough pontiac parisienne's. My wife said it is either me or the cars. I sure miss her.

Boy oh boy, I love this forum.

I spent years alone as the only full size Pontiac guy in the area. Finally, I sold them all and now years later, along comes this forum and gets me all fired up again. I can't wait to get another full size Poncho and put in a big block and a 4 speed.

Thanks for the encouragement!

Todd: That question I have as well. While I know there were only 13 L36 M20 2+2 Converts, I have no idea how many 427 B bodies were built in 67 and how many for each model and including tranny options. This is a mystery that may never be answered.
