Hello from Port Moody B.C.

It's great to see a new site up and running. I own two 68 Beaumonts. One is a hardtop and the other a convertible. The hardtop is more a street/strip car with a big block and the convertible is the family fun car powered by a 6cyl.(for now). Planning to restore the car in a few years. I'm in the grathering mode for parts and of coarse money.

I recognize a few names here. Brad sold me a beaumont steering wheel a few years back(thanks Brad still looks great) and jfkheat(James) I think you beat me a few times on some ebay auctions,(great looking car James).

Thanks to the guys who got this site going.

Brian

Hi Brian
Welcome to the forum and I'm glad the hear that the steering wheel still looks good. You'll have to post some pictures of your cars. The hardtop looks great.

Hi Brian,
Welcome to the site. Thanks for the comment about my car. I've slacked up on buying parts. There aren't many 68 Beaumont parts I don't have extras of. If there is anything listed that you need, let me know and I won't bid. Your hardtop looks good. Post pictures of the convertible when you get a chance.
James

Hey Brian,

Welcome to the group, nice car. I'm guessing when the weather's better the place to find you is at Mission Raceway with the '68 Beaumont. What's your time slips say?

I'm with James lets see a picture of the convertibe too. Do you intend to keep the convertible a six cylinder? How long have you owned both cars? Did you luck out an one of them was already a "member of the family"?

I have not had the Beaumont out to Mission in some years. The last time I did get out there with the car I only ran a 11.10et at 110mph dancing all over the track. Should run in the mid to low 10's and high 9's with nitrous. I need more time. It's hard to come by.

As for the convertible I bought it in 2006. It's only 1 of 42 with a 6 cyl. I have a rebuilt 350 sitting in my garage that I have had for a few years and may put it into the convertible. However, I'm not sure. It gets great gas mileage with the 6.
I will try to post some pictures. Had a hard time posting the hardtop picture.
