Is there any year and model you are looking for specificly? I have production figures for some years and models. I have been compiling a list for a few years and plan on setting up a registry for Beaumont owners.
I have not got the website going yet but the domain is registered and I should have it set up in the next couple of months. I will keep everyone posted with the progress.

I updated the information that you posted. All of this information should have been on your GM documentation. I don't have the info for the 1969 6 cylinder Deluxe or the V8 Custom........yet

There werw 65 1968 SD convertibles and 70 1967 SD convertibles built. I think there were a total of 72-74,000 Beaumonts built

I don't have a complete list of production numbers yeat for all the models. Like Brad I've been researching these cars and grabbing the production numbers where I could get them

Both numbers for 68 SD's is correct. Total production for Canada was 680, total production for '68 was 702. Twenty-two cars were built for export.

I looked at my paperwork last night and it says 66 1968 SD-396 Convertibles and 66 1967 SD-396 convertibles. Ironic that the same exact number was produced for both years. The 68 coupe says 680
and the L-79 Acadian says 63

Brad,   When you get the website going, I have a "Monthly Listing of Vehicles Shipped" for Beaumonts, for March 01, 1967 to contribute for registry purposes.  I also have a 66 (Pontiac) Acadian, Beaumont Factory General Motors Price Lists With Options Lists. It does not have production numbers, just pricing.

My Beaumont SD 396/325 was 1 of 451.

Thanks for the offer Jerry. I truly appreciate any information and help from others that I can get.
I will be posting updates under the "Beaumont Registry" topic.
 Thanks again, Brad

Hi, I also would like to know how many were made of my Beaumont Custom for 67. I know there were a total of 3452  two door sport coupes made with 451 of them SD's but how many of them were Customs and how many were granada gold for 1967, does this information exsist?

Thanks for any help you may have!

67 Beaumont,

You have to remember two things.   The production number of 3452 for Beaumont Customs doesn't include the 451 Beaumont SD.   Now then there are early '67 Beaumont SD's included within the production number of 3452.

Confused let me try to clarify.   Early '67 Beaumont SD's were an option package on the Beaumont Custom, therefore they are included in the production totatl of 3452 V8 cars.   The production total of 451 cars is when the Beaumont SD became a seperate car model on its own again.

As to how many '67  Beaumont Customs were Granada Gold I can't say.   But Granada Gold was a popluar colour for '67 Beaumonts.

Hence one of the reasons why I sound like a broken record about you guys "sending" Beaumont VIN and cowl tag information to me.    At present I have a 67 Beaumont production line containing about 720 cars.   Not all of which I have complete information on.

So the more I hear from Beaumont owners of any year who supply the VIN and cowl tag information the better I can answer your question.   that's one of the reasons why I started to document all cars.   Even a junker sitting a field for the last year, twenty years, whatever.  As long as we document it then we have the information that car contains and help fullfil our statistics.

Also those of you who do have microfiche pages, well there's a section of a day production which can be anything from twenty cars to over fifty cars depending on the model year.

Its the same old story I could just tell you a number right now and whose going to challenge me on it?   Someone would and say I'm full of BS then we come back to proof.  I don't toss out BS information for few reasons

1) once the real infomrtion is known you look like a pompous ass

2) you no longer have any credibility, evrything is suspect from then on.

3) there's enough bogus information out there now to be a contributor to it.

Its the old if you have nothing good to say then say nothing at all.

Thanks for the information! All I know about how many were made was from the documentation I recieved from GM on my car. It said that only 3452 two door sport coupes were made in 67 but did not break it down as to how many of each model were made.

This is good news as there will be less than I thought of the Custom model produced, also I know of 3 67SD's in Medicine Hat, Two of them are orignal BB cars and one is an orignal SB car, the small block car is obiously an early production car.

One other thing, my brother works in a local body shop, last summer a 69 Beaumont SD came into the shop for some work, this car is a BB 4 speed car with a ton of options including power windows etc, it is a low milage car, the rare thing is the fellow who ordered the car did not like the SD exterior chrome and ordered it with the custom chrome instead. This car is fully documented to show this. The guy who ownes the car now is the best friend of the original owner and was with him the day the car was ordered from GM. How many SD's would have been ordered with Delete the chrome package?

You must have meant a 68 SD.
If I were to guess at how many were ordered with different side trim. Probably one.

How did GM determine if a 736 V.I.N. car was a Custom or Sport Deluxe ? I realize its a trim package option but with no R.P.O. ? both 1966 and 67 seem to be this way.

any ideas ?

I'm new to the site, I have a 67 SD396 350hp, Third owner, GM doc. says
Vin. 73817711-----
Trim 763-black
Paint Bolero red
top 27-black
prod plant  Oshawa
Prod date   Mar 14 1967
Ship date   Mar 16 1967
Model #     73817  2dr sport coupe
engine      396- 350hp
engine #
Dealer       Mid City Motors Ltd, Sask.
Total produced     451
Now, I understand that 251 of these 451 are 350hp models? I don't have any other production numbers for red, 4spd, or any other options.
when I restored mine I did find the option sheet hidden in the seat. I also have all the bills from the first owner for repairs.
