Were the hood tachs dealer installed then on in stock cars prior to delivery?
They were a factory installed option. Don't forget, Pontiac starting offering hood tachs on different models in 1967, they were hardly exclusive to the Judge.

You could get rallye (yes, that is the correct Pontiac spelling ) gauges by themselves, with a clock, with the dash tach or with the hood tach. Yes, those were the days!

Hillar, I don't want to be a jerk but I just referenced several Pontiac sales brochures from the 70's for Grand Prix, 2+2, LeMans, Firebird, Parisienne etc...
The spelling used in every instance when referring to wheels and gauges is R A L L Y as in rally wheels, rally II wheels and rally gauges.
I'm not prepared to categorically say you are wrong but the evidence I am referring to does not support your claim to R A L L Y E being the correct spelling. I think that is a Chevy or GMC spelling.

Sorry, I think I must have had my Plymouth hat on then, that is the spelling they use, but hey, I am a closet Mopar fan after all. Must have been dreaming of Roadrunners again.

I am actually not the guy from Lethbridge that bought the seats from you. I am the guy that wanted all of the other brown interior stuff and dash bezel. My computer crashed and some other issues- long story, but the GTO went on the back burner for awhile and I lost your email. I do need to talk to you. Could you PM me your email address? Thanks Martie
