Were the hood tachs dealer installed then on in stock cars prior to delivery?

They were a factory installed option.  Don't forget, Pontiac starting offering hood tachs on different models in 1967, they were hardly exclusive to the Judge.

So there were two different options available from the factory? Sounds cool to have the options, unlike todays cars...

You could get rallye (yes, that is the correct Pontiac spelling wink) gauges by themselves, with a clock, with the dash tach or with the hood tach.  Yes, those were the days!

There were at least 4 cluster combinations available for the 73. I posted them somewhere on here before.

Hillar, I don't want to be a jerk but I just referenced several Pontiac sales brochures from the 70's for Grand Prix, 2+2, LeMans, Firebird, Parisienne etc...

The spelling used in every instance when referring to wheels and gauges is  R A L L Y as in rally wheels, rally II wheels and rally gauges.

I'm not prepared to categorically say you are wrong but the evidence I am referring to does not support your
claim to R A L L Y E  being the correct spelling. I think that is a Chevy or GMC spelling. wink

Nice car Pete. Was the attached pic from 2007 Hot Nite's in the City. I don't recall the collection of Pontiacs being all together at the same time.

I'm not sure whether to suggest you stay in the closet, come out of the closet, or just not say anything!!!

I've never heard no H/T on Oshawa cars.I'd have to check through All my papers to believe that.

Not sure what is considered an 'early' build car, but my Oshawa built 70 Judge came off the line on December 5, 1969 and it has a factory hood tach.

Howdy Kim,

I am actually not the guy from Lethbridge that bought the seats from you. I am the guy that wanted all of the other brown interior stuff and dash bezel. My computer crashed and some other issues- long story, but the GTO went on the back burner for awhile and I lost your email. I do need to talk to you. Could you PM me your email address? Thanks Martie
