Beaumont (Chevelle) body mount question

For you guys who have had the body lifted off the frame, or at least up enough to change body mounts---

If all the body mount bolts are taken out, including the rad cradle mount bolts, can the body be lifted up enough to change all the mount cushions?

I changed all the mounts on my 64 GTO, which is the same design as the 64-67 Chevelle, Beaumont, Skylark etc. However, in this case, the engine/trans etc is still all in the car, and the hood and fenders are still on. Some of the biscuits are bad, but this will not be a body off restoration, and just the biscuits need renewed. On my GTO, there was no front sheet metal on the car, and I just lifted the body about an inch or maybe two on each side, replaced the biscuits and set it back down.

Don't want to start jacking on the body and bend things . I can't think of any reason why this won't work though.

Thanks

Hey Carl

Don't forget the front e-brake cable and the body ground wires,as well as the speedo.Maybe give Anderson a call as he did this on the rag you sold him just last year

I did change all my body mounts, I used a portapower with the duck bill spreader. I put it right next to the mount and lifted the body just enough to get the new mounts in. But I didn't have the front fenders on the car at the time.
