It's based on the number of posts a member creates:

5-member

25- veteran member

100 - Addicted

500 + Guru

I haven't set any user titles for any posts higher than 500, but with Carl on here maybe I should!

According to Wikipedia, a GURU is a teacher, in the newer religious movements.. In Western culture, a Guru is a person of authority, because of his PERCEIVED knowledge or skills.. A GURU also uses empathy in common life.biggrin  Empathy is defined as feeling or expressing emotion to each other..It is the ability to put oneself into anothers shoes..
According to Carlipedia, A GURU is a older person, who is to be placed at a almost God-like position of honor.. A person to be understood, as always telling the truth, or a reasonable version of it.. A GURU is to be fed first, at Automotive gatherings, and to be considered as a valuable resource... A Guru can say or do no wrong! biggrin    hope this helps.   Carl2

Oh, was that by our house during the flood?

If so, no, those are our cute kids. The "cute" boy is now 13 and almost 5' 11"....

And yes, he does play basketball. Quite well, I might add!!!
