No doubt I'll ruffle a few feathers:

I HATE bumper guards. If I had a car with them, I'd remove them, and if need be, get a new bumper.

i'm kinda partial to bumper guards. if i took them off my truck i wouldn't have any front end.

I'll reconsider and say one some cars they look fine, like a gold 68 Beaumont Wagon feature car for one, BUT I must be missing something because I don't see any on the 55 GMC.

you mean ya can't see those big honking bullets on the front, they weigh 30 lbs or more each. i've pushed small sheds with them. i've always thought of them as a sort of bush guard. the chev truck of the same era has the same lower bumper without the excess. and we all know how the 50ty's were famous for excess

when i first got the truck 20 or so years ago that was one of the suggestions. cut out the centers and put aircraft landing lights in biggrin

        I dont like them either..  I took them off my 1969 Camaro Z28  It was strange, there were only 2 on the back? smile
