RE: Our future shed

That's the tightest fit I've seen. When doing the math did you calculate in the 1/2" gyproc?
You can always take off your front plate bracket on that Chevy.

No gyproc, it's just for storage. All it's gonna get is some lights and plugs. I have a workshop beside it.

I had discussed removing the bracket. I may do that and just bolt the plate to the bumper.

Sad thing is, we are restricted to a 98 or older p/u if I want to keep doing this. Seems to me the 99^ extended cabs are longer. But the reality is, how often will I actually have to do this anyway? It was just an excuse to make a 42' shed instead of 40" !!!

I still have my 1995 Chevy Ext cab 4X4.It's a great truck and the only  4X4 that can go into underground parking.
My wife said I could buy a new truck or another GTO.So that's why I have 2 Goats.Plus it says alot for my pick-up.

I know it's just for storage, but I thought you might be putting in insulation? My garage isn't heated either. It's attached to the house and I got someone to blow in insulation into the roof space and boy did it make a differance.I don't get the extreme temp changes anymore. Now I can work in there year around.OK so it only gets to a bone chilling -10 here.biggrinbiggrin

Nah, I think the only thing blown for this shed is budget, not insulation!

That's ok, no regrets and happy to have it done. It will be complete once the electrical comes in and I can wire the door opener.

Its nice to have some concrete in front of the gagage:) keeps the house alot cleaner. I bet you mathmatically calculated just to fit the truck and trailer that way..lol nice! Love the shop. here is mine..a little way off from yours yet..smile I know its not the best shot of the shop but its all I have for now. Rod

Not sure if you noticed that link is from 2006 or not Carl.

At any rate, worst case scenario is that nice cement pad in the picture will be just barely sticking out of the water....

I am now spending all my daylight hours cleaning up in the area behind it. The white Ford pickup you can see there is gone (wasn't mine, don't buy Fords!), the blue pickup is coming up to higher ground tomorrow and that 96 Impala SS to the right of the white Ford has me stumped. It's a bare shell sitting on a bare frame. No front spindles, no diff. I can't figure out how to move it. The sheet metal is perfect, it was a theft recovery. If I try to move it, I will likely ruin the 1/4's. If I don't move it, chances are it will be very close to totally submerged.

I spent last night and tonight moving old car parts etc out of that little run down wooden shed you see beside the trucks. I refuse to work after dark because of the danger. I am using a very large 4 wheel drive tractor and a bucket. I have never driven this tractor until today. Inexperience, darkness and very slippery ground are a bad combination. Back at it tomorrow at daylight.

This picture is taken in 06, before we put up our big new shed. I am sitting in the boat very close to where the Impala SS is currently sitting. Pretty much a reverse direction shot of the pic that Carl posted.
