$1.23 for 87 octane on the west coast, $1.29 for 91 as well. $1.30 for diesel. Wish my wage would go up as fast as gas does. LOL. hmm

To convert litres to American gallons you would multiply by 3.7854 so it would only be $4.88 a gallon!eyepopping.gif

What bugs me is the fact the oil companies have jacked the price of diesel up even higher than regular.  That makes no sense at all since diesel is a less refined form of fuel and actually takes less effort to make so should cost less, which it did for years.

I am seriously thinking of a turbo diesel as my next daily driver.  If everyone drove one, North America's fuel consumption would go down at least 25% overnight.  Of course the oil companies wouldn't like that so I think they are deliberately jacking the price to discourage people from buying diesels.

There is a conspiracy out there....furious.gif

I heard that the refiners got less diesel to a barrell than gas?? If u buy a deisel, the cost up front is more, usually around 10Grand for a GM. Do u save that much fuel cost in ten years?? I usually replace my Trucks every ten years, couldn't see myself driving one of those noisey sticky things. LOL, and I really hate working on them, they cost more for parts and are harder to fix when broken.

the vw jetta gets nearly 40 mph with the diesle of coarse its now banned foe sale in cali along with the 3.4l chevy 6 that gets34 mph for my lil blazer. and as for stinky and noisy you couldn't tell the difference from a gas version while running.

Oh I thought u were talkin about a Truck, not a VW, LOL. U got a 3.4 in your Blazer?? What year?? Still srinky though, LOL. I guess as long as u don't spill diesel on yourself when filling.

I'm a fan of the diesels, especially the Duramax. I love driving trucks so equipped. They pull and pull and pull. I got a chance to drive one that had a Bullydog computer in it. Man that was one quick truck!

the 3.4 is a replacement engine for any 2.8l s-10 or s-15. its the rwd version of the century engine. mines still the 2.8l because cal banned it even tho it burns cleaner and gets better mpgs than the 2.8.plus vw has some new bettles with the diesle engines. i don't know your laws but if you can get 1 they are well worth the price. your jettas may be passats.great get up and go really nothing to remind you its not gas till you see the big hole. i am looking to buy one of the few that got in before o3.

I had to work on some of the Duramax engines, Of course under warranty, they were not real nice to work on for free, as GM flat rate really sucked. Yes they did really pull hard, but did u really get your ten thousand dollars worth, I guess it all depends on what your doing with it and who's paying for the fuel.  LOL.
