Wow, you guys have a great collection of Canadian Ponchos out there. Is that about the best or is it the only Poncho-only show?

Great shots and a nice variety of cars too. How many cars in total were there? Do you have a Calgary based Pontiac club that sponsors the show?

Fantastic turnout of very interesting cars. No 73 A bodies though!

Those Pontiac Rally Wheels and Pontiac license plate look really nice on that yellow Canso!

We need a get together here in Ontario like this.

This show was hosted by the Alberta Iron Indians Pontiac Club. Sponsored by Shaw Pontiac Buick GMC. The standard date has been the Saturday before Father's Day, in case anyone wants to plan attendance next year.
There were a total of 59 cars in show. A few others dropped by to visit. All Pontiacs were welcome (we also welcomed Acadians and Beaumonts).
This was the 5th annual show and had record participation.

The weather was acceptable, but there was still a little nip in the air.

I'd be willing to host an impromptu meet at my place some Saturday or Sunday. Maybe do a pot luck? My place isn't fancy but we're friendly and the BBQ runs on natural gas! I have a large yard and I don't really care if anyone parks on the grass as we are doing a bunch of landscaping later this summer and next year. There is also a park behind my place with roadway access (that's how I access my garage) so the "show" could spill into the park. Perhaps we could do it late July/Early August. Ingersoll isn't too far from most of us Ontario guys.

One of the last few shots is of a 64 beaumont 2dr HT(black).  Noticed it has a very correct looking vinyl top.  I don't think you could order a vinyl top in 64 on a beaumont.  Any idea what the story is there?  do you happen to know the owner?  Would love to see the option tag or build sheet on that car!

Great pics, lot of sweet cars.
I'd be up for meet, my wife's a great cook, could definitely bring something.
Would be great to meet some of you guys (all of you guys really).
By then, my week-ends will be free too.
I could bring pics of my cars!!!!!!!!

I'll make every effort to get there with the LeMans, set a date, probably can get 65Camino and Astro Jet to tag along too.

Except for July 27th, the end of July/beginning of August looks good for me so maybe the "Toronto Trio" can make an appearance.biggrin

Splitting the petrol 3 ways sounds good, especially with Ray's heavy foot, sprint.gif but maybe by then he'll have his new super tuned Q jet on and we will just coast down to Ingersoll on the fabulous fuel economy Q jets are known for.wink

Oops!  Just checked the calendar, July 19th is out as well.ashamed

I'll check my calendar and see what dates there are that don't conflict with any other large shows. Hopefully the weather will be nicer than it is now!

Nice car show full of Pontiacs....   Was in Westaskiwin, AB at History Road June 14'th, nice show lots of different vehicles there.   Now wished I was in Calgary on the same day.   Need to get "super powers" so I can be in two places at the same time.  LOL!!  Got to get hold of the "bubble gum man" and get a copy of the car shows schedule for the West.

Looks like I need to do some serious planning to see some shows and meet some of you folks, on home turf.

Is that really a tri-power 58? I assume it's a 348? Is that an American emblem on the fender?

Enough questions???!!!
