Nice Pontiac Air Cleaner decal, suppose it is a 261.

Believe it would be a 261, haven't heard of the 252... Looks pretty original though..

Hmmm, I remember the straight 6 came in 2 sizes that I can remember, 250CID and 292CID.
I always thought there was a 261?V6.
Maybe this will jog someones memory.
Oh, just jogged my memory, there was also a 232cid straight 6.

Had the 66 since about 83 and the 65 since 88.
Both still require a lot of work.

Hmmm... I think that the 250 and 292 were the later (starting in '63?) sixes.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but I think the '62 and earlier Chevys had the old-design 235 six and the Pontiacs had the 261 version from the truck line.  I think the V6s were only in the US-version GMC trucks (I'm a little foggy on these, though).

actually, that does sound familiar.
Maybe I'm thinking of the aluminum v6 Buick had, although the CID elude me at the moment.
A friend got a small Buick from his uncle and it turned out it had a Aluminum V6, we were floored, didn't know they made them that early.
