Well Hillar it was a basket case when i found it and i been working on it for 15 years off and on, Now that the kids are all on there own alot more is getting done. Got a new indesign nose i hope to have installed before summer is over then off for paint. Just rebuilt the 455 it's 30 over with a R/A 3 cam and exhaust manifolds, Had the heads plain 60 thou. mild porting of the intake and exhaust. The intake is from a 71 455 h.o. no heat crossover. Turbo 400 and 355 rear, opp's i forgot it is a 75 grandam. Also have 84 Fireo, 76 Grand lemans, 73 GTO, and 62 Strato Chief. Daily drivers 99 sunfire and 02 Montana,Kind of bias towards pontiacs, will get pictures posted soon.Tom

Hi Tom,
Wow, that Grand Am is going to be one sweet car!  What colour is it?
Looks like your engine will be pretty well equivalent to a 70 455.  Which heads are you using?  Will the HO manifold match up with D port heads?

I have a 72 Lemans sport convertible with the 455 D port heads.  I'm going to use 7K3 heads from a 400 to bump the compression up to hopefully the 9.5 range.  I also have a 68 GTO and a 69 Bonneville station wagon.

Are you a member of POCI, GTOAA or the GTO club of Onario?  What are the details on your 73 Goat?

The g/a got the 6x-8 heads off a 77 t/a hardened vavle seats, i have a pair 62 heads from 69 judge will get hardned seats this winter and put on the 73 gto. Billy a buddy of mine gasket matched the intake to the heads then the r/a 3 exhaust to the heads and said it was not that much work.He also said that the intake was a very good desigh and should work very well. The 73 will be winter project if my wife would stop coming up with jobs for me to do. The 73 will be light green like my oringal back in the day before my mechanic stole it and parted it out. long story was busted months after mine went missing and did time not far from me,"Kingston Pen" That had S.D. Heads and intake, exhaust manifolds from a 73 t/a written off by wayne, should of taken block but did not need it, found out hard way distribtur did not fit, But who knew that they would be worth a small fortune now. 73 Body is very good south carolina car. Grandam will be marron with oxblood interior. I have order a new gas tank and fuel pump for fireo and hope to paint before winter sets in,62 will be on blocks this winter and i hope to get it ready for spring. 76 grand lemans is being parted out i cannot get clear title, mechanics lean by previous owner but for 300 bucks it was still worth it.Now to convince my wife that i only have 4 projects instead of 5 no grand lemans that i need another, found a 71 lemans sport with a 400- 4 barrell dual exhaust buckets body is pretty good and a 74 lemans with a 350 -4 and only 35,000 miles perfect oringal paint {brown } bench seat 3,500 will try to talk him down. 71 wants 5,000.00 to many projects not enough time and money,First day without rain will post pictures if my grand daughter shows me how.
Also i am stuck with dial up here so it take a while to read and answer post
