15x7 Rally II wheels

I have a friend who has a set of 15x7 wheels, and will trade me, for my 15x7 steel wheels and dog dish caps.. What the history of the Rally II wheels? Did they come stock on 70's Trans Ams?    Carl

Pontiac Rally II wheels were first available in 1967 I believe . In my humble opinion I think they set the standard for factory optional wheels.

We would need to consult the sales information on the Trans Am package for 1970 but I would think that they were part of it so in essence standard on the Trans Am. Rally Wheels have always been optional or part of package. The Judge and LeMans GT's for example came with "ringless" Rally II wheels as part of their "poor mans" persona.

Here is a chart I got from Pontiac server.com:

I agree that they set the standard for a factory wheel in the 60's. I still have a set on my 79 Trans Am. They are the only wheel that looks good with or without the trim rings.

I've got and extra set of 4 in my shed with rings and centres I've had since about 1988. Took them off my 76 FB just before it went bye bye. So if you have 4 like new I'd say that's like winning Lotto 649. w00t.gif

As 'eeluddy' said they look good with or without rings. You will notice that the Feature Car is "ringless", it is a matter of choice but I like the bare look. I think going without rings would look good on say a 2dr post car like a Ventura.

I think rally wheels without rings give a car some sleeper-like attitude.

What rims did the Beaumonts and Cansos come with? I see them with Rally II's and Chevy ralleys, but I'm guessing The Chev ralleys are correct.

Yes  I like to know.. I thought the rally II would be a better deal, than the steel wheels.. I have Pontiac rallys like Todds ..  What would you use on a half breed Ventura with Cdn motor?   confusedconfusedconfused

Either choice would look good in my opinion. Maybe you go with Canadian Pontiac Rally wheels just to confirm the cars's new citizenship.

You what me to look into an Air Cleaner Decal - PONTIAC 307 Astro Flash 315 HP ?

I bought the TAN car, and am getting Pontiac Rally II with it, but now have a chance to get yellow car, instead..  Rally II would look good? helps price to take off Torque Thrusts.  .
