Canadian Pontiacs in October 2008 Collectible Automobile Magazine!

Finally, a magazine article on Canadian Pontiacs! This months issue of Collectible Automobile magazine has a good 12 page article on early Canadian Pontiac models. Sadly, the article stops at 1965 and would lead the reader to believe that once the auto pact was signed between Canada and the U.S in 65, that was about it for Canadian Pontiacs. We know that was not the case. Needless to say I'll be  sending off an Email to the editor as well as a plug for this website. The Acadian and Beaumont marque was mentioned and the article said "that's another story" so we can keep our fingers crossed that we will see such an article. It's a must read if you own a 65 and earlier model. There are no photos of 59 or 60's however the article talks about those model years. This magazine is pricey ($10.95) but the quality is exceptional and there is no advertising.

I'm a big fan of Collectible Automobile magazine. Very detailed and great research as well as nice photo's. Todd , I can tell you that they will save the post 65 story for another issue in the future.

Went and picked up a copy. Good story and a lot of historical tidbits. They always whet your appetite by mentioning the following years or in this case the Acadian & Beaumont by stating "that's another story" No advertising is a nice feature.

OK I am going to buy this issue and I will scan* the article high-resolution so it is readable by all us older folks - you know who you are smile.gif - sorry the article is incomplete by stopping too soon and that they (in usual journalistic fashion) side-stepped the pertinent issues, but should be a worthwhile thing for any who want to to read, eh?
