Pictures can hide alot of things. One will have to see it in person to decide how nice it is.Looks great on ebay, but I have seen several cars that look great in pictures and turn out to be hiding lots.My buddy is going to take a look if the guy would ever return emals etc..He is going to drive out and take a bunch of pics as well.Seeing that it the original owner-it probably is a nice clean car though.
I know all too well what pictures can hide. I also wouldn't mind seeing this car in person. I live in Saskatchewan so it might not be too long of a drive. Does anyone here know whereabouts in Saskatchewan this car is?
i got a response from the owner and this is word for word what it said WE ARE ONLY ALLOWING PEOPLE WITH SERIOUS BIDS(MINIMUM 70.000)TO VIEW THE CAR AS WE ALREADY HAVE HIGH OFFERS .thats all he wrote i got his number from someone so who ever wants it let me know
Holy Cow!! If this guy gets $70,000 for the SD in it's original condition-have I got a deal for the buyer!! HA HA. Hey it's his car and he must really love it cause as far as I can tell-they'll bury it with him.Everyone has a dream, some of them are realized in life, some never are, this one I can't ever seem being realized.I doubt he would ever get that for a complete body off rotisierre restoration car-never mind this one.Good luck to him-maybe he'll prove me wrong-but for that kinda money, you'd have to have money to burn and want it worse than anything I can possibly imagine. Not really interested in selling it.I don't think I would ever even ask that kinda money if I did ever consider selling it.I have had lots of people want to buy it-even this last weekend I had another guys business card in my front seat when we came back from walking around crusin the peg show.It cost me more than that to build, but I don't build my cars to sell-I build them for me.I just like building them, driving them and showing them once in a while. The money thing means nothing to me at all.
I doubt anybody would pay it either-looks like a 20 k or maybe 25 k car to me. I do remeber being in Carlise spring of 99 when there was a white 67 SD hardtop for 20 and a blue 67 custom rag for 20 or 35 for both-I thought-yup that'll never happen.
Then there was the silver 70 Canadian Judge paint red in N.F. for $25,000-dreamn' he sold it to black tie classics who sold it at $50,000. and that had a Pontiac engine !
If that SD looked like John's wagon he would have more than 70K into it.
That wagon is nicer than anything that ever rolled off an assembly line... there is not a single nut or bolt anywhere on it that hasn't been given some lovin. Even the parts you can't see... like inside the doors and behind the dash. It's nice.

This car obviously didn't sell and I don't think he really wanted it to. I spoke to the bother of the owner of this car a couple days ago and he claims that he had an offer of $65,000 a couple of years ago and he didn't take it. I'd still love to see the car though.
not up on my gto,s but i was in my buddies body shop the other day and he was working on a 70 gto rag, didnt get to see the tag but he said the owner worked for gm oshawa and bought it new,its a factory orbit orange ,parchment interior judge, believe 400,had the judge spoiler and tach on the hood,he said it was just appraised at $160000,the guy also has a matching hardtop and his son has a 69 gto.
