I looked and looked, and couldnt find info! cant even decode my car! Todd has info, and you could PM TAYLOR55 (feature car) to see if his vin is close to yours to check if it correct
A Pathfinder is unique to Canadian Pontiacs, yes. The US Pontiacs had totally different model names and styles. I would think you have a very unusual car. Maybe not when it was new, but I doubt you will see many these days.

Todd is correct with his decoding of your 57 Pathfinder
7= 1957 2211= Pathfinder 2 dr sedan 6= 261 six cylinder 442101 would be the sequence number of all 57 Pontiacs built in Canada at the Oshawa plant. I think there is one to many digits in this number as there was not that many 57 Canadian Pontiacs built. There were 48,140 1957 Pontiac cars built and 682 trucks. Sedan Deliveries were marketed as trucks through GMC dealers.
Is there a website where I can check out my VIN number for the 1966 Parisienne I just purchased. Or can somehow help me. I would like to restore the car to its original make. The VIN # is 676469024248. Please and thank you, PontiacPete..
