Hard to believe the general manager of a Toyota dealer is a dye-in-the-wool 69 Camaro fanatic. In fact, he is a leading authority on Yenko's, COPO and other rare Camaro's having owned documented COPO and Z-28's in the past. He just picked up a GM of Canada documented L78 69 Camaro. As the pictures show, it needs everything. He has the connections to get all the proper pieces. CLICK HERE to see it. He typically buys these cars, restores them and sells them. He did very, very well on his last Z-28.
A friend of mine here in Fredericton has a hardtop version of 300 deluxe Chevelle. It's also an L78 M-21 bench seat car, and was also sold by MacDonald Chev Olds in Halifax.
That's quite a car. It will bring the big bucks when done. Nice to see the GM documents on the Canadian cars. Really adds legitimacy especially with so many clones that have been done and many of them done well. I see on the GMVV sheet it was sold in Halifax. I lived just outside of Halifax N.S. and remember Bob Mac Donald Chev-Olds dealership very well. They sold a lot of Camaro's back in the day. One of my friends in grade school had an older brother who was a mechanic there and got a new 68 Camaro convertible. I remember going to look at it when it was still in the prep yard and there were quite a few sitting there. Also I went to the same high school with Bob MacDonald's daughter.
Dave said they sold it @ $15,000 sounds like good value to start on an L78
There was a 69 Chevelle L78 M22 with power windows., rosewood, 8-track, 26,000 miles orig paint orig owner, not plated since 1972 that sold three years ago-was a legend in a garage that turned out to be real
