69 Acadian Pics

Just picked up this 1969 Acadian last week. It is in really good shape. It has a built up 350 with a turbo 350 Trans. 10 bolt diff. with 4:56 gears. This car sounds good and is fast. I will changing all the drum brakes to newer disc brakes. I also have a 396BB that i may put in.biggrin

Car looks good and welcome to the site. You can't go wrong with a big block. It still amazes me that there are as many cars still out there.

That is a very cool looking Acadian. Welcome here and as stated, it sure would be fun with a big block.

For many years now I've had the dream of a 68 or newer Acadian 427 TH400 bench seat car with dog dish caps. I think that would be an ultimate sleeper... Don't think it will ever reside in my garage, sadly.

Ken
Thanks for taking the time out of your busy schedule to appraise the car. I'll give you a call to come and do another appraisal for insurance.

I think the big block will be the winter project. That and detailing it. I'll just drive the way it is for the rest of the good weather.

Hello all, I just became a member....
A friend of mine acqiured 70 pontiac Acadian SS and I am trying to find a site for some info on these rare Canadian cars.
I personally own a 1969 Pontiac GTO Judge RA lll 4spd and my father owns a 65 GTO 389 Tri-power 4spd and so he asked me to find a place for reproduction parts or original parts on the web since I'm a die hard Pontiac fan.  I've posted some pics of his car although when he bought it it was an ex race car, blue in color and murals on the side original drivetrain long gone unfotunately. He's now striped it down repainted it black then stuffed in a 540 with a 8-71 super charger and dynoed at 1050 HP. Have'nt finished it yet but should be fun!!  So anyone have any spare parts let me know. Thanks

Welcome here. Looks pretty "Pontiac" around your area!

Is the Acadian a documented SS car? Pretty unusual, either way.

Have you friend call GM Vintage Vehicle Services (905) 440-7636 or 440-7618 and they will sort him out with a history of his Acadian for just under $60...a couple of bux more if he wants it Faxed back pronto.  He'll get the cars birthplace, point of sale, all options the car came with, production numbers etc.

Craig
