I can't believe another powerful Hurricane is heading for Louisiana! I'd ask "what are the odds?" but with our climate changine like it is, I guess it's not surprising. Anyone have relatives down there? What would you do if you were a resident of New Orleans and it got hit again? Would you go back? We have friends in the Cayman Islands and the islands got hit pretty hard. My wife is going to try to reach them later today.
I have friends who live down there. They are high tailing it to Florida. Could only take one of their collector cars, they are hoping the rest survive. Apparently Gustav is bigger than Katrina and will hit a wider area when it finally comes ashore.
Brace yourself, CIBC is predicting $1.75 a litre within the week if the gulf refineries are hit hard; most of them had only relatively minor damage as a result of Katrina. Could spell the end of cruising season quite quickly.....

CNN is reporting the large offloading facilities for foreign oil and the adjoining pipleline that runs to Chicago will take a direct hit. Here we go... I better fill up the Laurentian tomorrow!
