If you are correct, you have taught me something today. You list them as H bodies and I have always called them X bodies (1st gen Nova-type Acadians). Does it list them as H bodies somewhere? I have never seen that.

Sorry, I wasn't correcting you. I was asking. It could easily be. I was thinking maybe I have been referring to them wrong. Now I think I have to do some digging myself!!

Aren't the H-Body cars the Vega/Monza platform?.

Yes they are. However, GM has re-used some of the letters a few times. For example, a Pontiac Aztec is a B bodyevileye

Steve

I dug out my build sheet microfiche cards to see if they could shed some light and sure enough, it's on there. Please don't take this as me proving a point but rather as learning! It shows Nova/Acadians as X body on them.

nothing better then the facts because everything else said X but only for the later models after 66. there was even reference to early chevy II as S body's. i just noticed your fiche as 67 any chance to prove for earlier

Yes, I have the fiche back to 62 and they all say X. I just happened to grab the 67 fiche, but I looked right up to 79.
