With the money you saved buying this body style instead of an early one, you could buy a 502 and have a lot of fun. Of course I'd keep those wheel covers. CLICK HERE
Todd, you clearly have a soft spot for the forgotten 73-77 A Bodies! This one looks clean and solid too. I am sure you would want to back up the big block with a 4 or 5 speed too. Floor shifters look great with a bench seat.

Ya, remember dad had a 77 LeMans so I do have a soft spot for them. I learned to drive in the 77. I remember my aunt and uncle having a Malibu like this only it was maroon in colour. This Malibu looks to be well worth the $$. A Tremec 6 speed behind a 502 would be a blast!
My older cousin had a 74 Malibu Classic 454 back in 75. He bought it from the owner of a local muffler shop in Scarborough. I never figured out why he only kept the car for one year but back then even my dad traded every 3 years so I quess if you had your own business you could have a new car more often.
We were heading to Lindsay once and a 69 Road Runner was hugging our bumper, as he went out to pass us, Robert dropped the hammer, it was very amusing to see this road runner in the left lane disappearing from view.

It took a while for the styling of these 73-77 cars to catch on with me but I've owned a couple of them and they were great driving and handling cars. Really all they did for the 77 up full size GM cars was to drop the body style onto the 73 up A body chassis. They are great cars and as you say, cheap to buy since they haven't caught on with collectors yet.
My buddy just bought a 74 El Camino with a factory 454. He stole it for $650, not running, but totally complete. Missing all the factory "woodgrain" on it though. Anyone know where he can get some?
