Thanks for your input Steven..First of all I only responded to Fred(68SD) advice to check out Willies two Beaumont convertiblesI responded by showing pictures of Willies 66 Chevelle convertible..I started out saying LOL(laugh out loud) because I thought it was a joke asking 3000.00 for such a car. As you can read for yourself.I just mentioned the truths about the car. Thats it. However I did stand up for myself when Fred told me to chill out and nobody is forcing you to buy the car I didnt say anyone is forcing me to buy the car.It is so easy to say that someone wants x amount for a car but its another thing for someone to state some facts about condition. My point being.the cars are overpriced considering the condition. If you drove 2 hours to look at a car for sale.only to find out its been hacked choppedstripped of its parts and no longer has tags or a ownership..how would you feel? Perhaps I just wanted to explain my experience. Just like Willys friends like to help him sell his cars. I see nothing wrong in stating facts. THE TRUTH.

I have a good friend that lives in London that purchased a 1966 Beaumont custom convertible (complete) for $3000.00 a year and a half ago. He now has $28,000 into it and its ready for paint. I have another good friend that lives in Ashburn that bought a 1967 Beaumont Convertible with a inline 6 for $2000.00 Needs full restoration but is all there! Steven you said that the market is flatcars that once were selling for 35,000 are now selling for half the price.if that is the casewouldnt 6000.00 be top dollar for those cars? Market flat..its getting worse????? Perhaps.we need to rethink that.

As for so called issues I have with Willyand discussing it in a public forum.I dont feel that I said anything out of line about Willy. I just stated that he neglected to tell me about no tags on the car. Tell me..Even if the car had tagsand I owned the car.would Willy give me 3000.00 for it?biggrin

well if you knew anything willy and wes were in business together untill wes died of a heart attack while working on that beaumont elcamino you see in the background there, they found him lying under the car dead,so willy out of respect for him put his name on the car.so back to you get yor f**king story straight, you know dick about anything about my friends so dont judge them ,if you cant afford to be in the hobby get out of it ,im, sure the import crowd would accept you.if your selling any 67 beaumont convertibles for 3 grand ,please give me a call as i would be very interested.the problem with the old car hobby today is all you need is a car to be in it,so any jerk can be in it.i dont think this forum should be used for bashing other beaumont owners ,since we should bond together and help each other ,just because you had a unfortunate incident that didnt go the way YOU liked.myself and many others have done business with willy and it went well ,i just bought a big block hood off him and he actually tracked it down for me and traded one of his motors to a guy so he could get it to me ,thats a friend ,and that is what the hobby is about.you need to change that attitude.
and thats the end of discusion about that, good luck finding the car of your dreams.and by the way its unfortunate the car didnt have tags and i know why that would be upsetting to you,i can understand that but i know willy told you about the car with good intentions to because you wanted to see it,and you see willy has a memory problem and doesnt always know know what he has or its condition but i know he always paid alot of money for his stuff off people who were going to scrap some cars and would bring them to him,and he would buy them to help them out and save a car at the same time,i Know he wasnt trying to screw you but what do you want a free car handed to you, doesnt happen to me?maybe we was a little out of hand on that one but hes a guy that would help you and its to bad you didnt get to be friends with him.

Who said I couldnt afford this hobby?..DID I?what I did say.Is Im not lining someone pockets for something thats not worth it. Period! Im not a fool! Upset that someone has an opinion and you react this way.

YOU NEGLECTED TO SAY ANYTHING ABOUT WES ..When you stated willy peeled this car out of a field where it sat for 20 years ,did a full resto on it ,built it back up from just a firewall.its flawless underneath,he turned down $45000 for it this summer,he knew the cars rarity and brought it back properly I corrected you.and youre upset about it! I didnt bash anyonebut let me tell you.youre doing the bashing now!

AS FAR AS IM CONCERNED THIS SUBJECT IS CLOSED!
