Looking for the rear panel P_O_N_T_I_A_C letter emblem between the taillights. NOS or Repo. It's 11 5/8" long with all letter connected by a bar across the bottom.
I am interested in the same, only I would take a rough one! If I had arough one, I would get it re=produced in chrome decal... I did this with cowl induction, on my truck, and it looks mint. Thanks Carl I want a rough one. Will pay what ever it takes to get to me......
Ok Carl, I see what you need now, I'll keep the eye's peeled. I figured you might be able to get by with something close, I mean some guys have been known to put Chevy flags on Poncho fenders.......
I'll have to admit that there is a bowtie on my car somewhere too, but that's my secret for now........it might be visible in one of the photos on the August Monthly Feature car.
Hmmm, may have one of those kicking around in the basement somewhere. Is there a part number you know of or if it is 11 5/8" long, will that be good enough?

If it is that long and all letters are connected like Carl's pic, it's probably it. Mine is presentable I guess. Sounds like Carl needs one worse than me, but keep me posted. If we can find two good ones, we are golden. Keep us posted. Thanks

Just to update your search. The part number from the manual is 8705560 grp. 12.182 A lot of times there is a part number on the back of the emblem but is not the number that it was sold under.
My parts books show the following for having this part.
71-72 Ventura 71 T37 only 72 A-body coupes (Lemans, GTO, any of them) hardtop and post No full size Canadian or US Pontiacs or Grand Prix used this emblem. Good luck with your search.
