On kiji Woodstock. I looked at it last night- very solid, original paint car. Interior poor. Trunk full of water from being outside (was inside till a few weeks ago). No holes anywhere. Good size dent on pass front fender. Engine is toast- sounds like a broken piston. Newer stainless duals. I'm cheap and offered $600. Owner will take $750. Might be worth it to someone. It's not hiding any sins. Was owners dads car. Has drum brakes, 10 bolt etc. CLICK HERE
Dash was so so. Seats torn, carpet worn. Odo showed 80xxx miles. Likely original. Car was ziebarted, oiled and stored winters. Make good doner for floorpans (CDNPONT-do you need floors?) and it's frame. It would also be good for sheetmetal(even the dent could be fixed fairly easily). Yes, that nameplate is from the now defunct Elliot Brothers Chev dealer in Woodstock. If gas was 49.9 like when I was younger and drove cars like this daily, I would have picked it up. I had a 70 Biscayne that I drove daily when I was 20..

Careful around any Elliotts when spelling it w/ one T Todd.. Elliott family legend is that the single T people were horse thieves and the second T was legally taken from their name so everyone could tell the difference between them and the good Elliotts...seriously!.
As you say, the '70 is probably best as a donor car for the chassis and other parts.. If it can help fix one or more Canadian Pontiacs, all the better!.

I like that car. It is a nice 4dr. Hardtop and I can't recall seeing a 70 like this at any cruise in the past 5 years. Do you guys really think it's only future is as a parts car?

Agree the lines on these 4 dr hts are great. I have a 69 Caprice 4 dr ht with hideaways, 396, T400, disc brakes, rust free North Carolina car, runs & drives great but needs the interior redone.
It could be a nice car with a little effort-. Carpet, package tray, seat covers and a good clean up of the dash would bring the interior back to life. I'd say $1-1500 there if you do the work yourself. Body and paint- well you guys know what that costs even without rust issues..There is also bubbling under the vinyl top and a back window that has been sealed with silicone. An engine-depends if you have one kicking around. I believe the owner said it was safety checked about 3 years ago. He drove the car to Vermont a couple of times. You could probably have a nice cruiser for about 8k depending on what you did yourself. The owner has zero mechanical knowledge and Canadian tire has had their mitts on the engine. He said he had a "new cylinder" (piston? head? who knows) that cost him 2 grand at CTC a couple of years ago. I would assume whatever they did led to the recent destruction of the engine. Rear tires were new last winter. It would be a sharp car in fresh blue with rally wheels and redlines!
Looks like a bargain-but if someone is considering the total cost of investment and would rather turn key-
I have for a customer this 68 Chev 4-door hardtop 327 auto A/C, rust free-he's asking $10,000 theres been as you know no interest-he'd likely take $8000-sounds like lots for 4-door but this is a good one

The 68 Caprice is in the Wainfleet/Dunnville area, Ontario car that spent a few years out east but if I didn't tell you that you'd swear it was from the deep south its a good one !
