1975 BUICK ELECTRA 225

One of our Toyota customers is selling his toy. It's a 75 Buick Electra 225 4 door hardtop. He brought it back from Florida 10 years ago. I have seen it a few times at the London cruise night and from what I remember it is a very clean, solid Buick. It has a smooth running 455. A new starter was installed recently. Everything but the AC works (needs a compressor). Owner is 71 and not online. He is asking $5000 for it. He didn't have a photo but here is a a similar photo of one:

PM me if interested and I will put you in touch with the owner.

A good buddy from high school had one of these, a 76, powder blue with dark blue roof and guts, real wire wheels. It was absolutely gorgeous. I am going to tell him about this. As I recall the 455 could break those rears loose from time to time. FIL had the next generation Park Avenue. These cars rival the Cadillacs, may even ride better.

Although I started my GM career at dealerships in 80, I did a 6 month stint at the Pontiac dealer in 75 as a shop gopher and gas jockey (it was also an Esso station). We sold a couple of those when I worked there and the owner also drove one. I lusted after those cars even then as an 18 year old! There was a guy in town here in the late 80's who drove a 2 door version. I LOVED that one, especially the black exterior.

These cars are just like driving a pillow! Find an airstream trailer and away you go (you might need to buy stock in a gas company though). I have a magazine somewhere with an article on a 12 second 72 Electra 4 door. There's a photo of it pulling the left front wheel!
I love Buick 455's!

I have that same story! The car is rough, but it's fast!!!

Seems to me in the one pic you can see the welds where he repaired the front bumper.

Ya. I believe the car was from New York.

Way more luxury, size, comfort and statement looking automobile than Toyota has ever built and the mid 1970's is often considered low years of design for GM!

happy 100th to GM, thanks for building these land yacht classics that are still here after more than 30 years ! incredible statement car
