Well, there won't be many nice days or car shows this year. It might be worth the drive.

Another good show. Turn out was excellent with quite a few cars I haven't seen before. I managed to hand out 3 or 4 more CP cards as well. I have a mix of photos. Here they are:

468 BB powered Chevy Wagon:

Sept08026.jpg
From the "Dare to be Different Files" a cool Fiat (I believe) with 4 banger power:

Sept08029.jpg
Sept08030.jpg
Sharp GP rolling in:

Sept08031.jpg

Canadian Tire provided a display of vintage Canadian Tire items as well as a nicely restored truck with more vintage items in the back:

I met a fellow with this sweet Beaumont. Originally a 307 car, it now sports bick block power with a 4 speed and (not original to the car) AC. The colour is original:

This has to be one of the nicest 62 Parisiennes I have ever seen. The restoration was top notch:

Sept08042.jpg

A pair owned by a couple of hot rod friends of mine. These guys put a ton of miles on these cars every year-rain or shine:

Calling the 55 a basket case is an understatement. The car was so rotted and you really don't appreciate this car until you see how small the garage is that my friend Dave did the work in. I don't even think you could open the doors all the way without hitting the walls!
Sept08044.jpg
For you A body guys. This Custlass was near perfect:

Sept08048.jpg

$12500 will buy this Trans Am:

Sept08049.jpg
Sept08055.jpg
My car wasn't camera shy today:
Sept08054.jpg
The Canadian Pontiac and American Pontiac got along quite well during the show:
Sept08025.jpg

Time for a commercial:biggrin
Sept08060.jpg
Only $10!

I'd love to see inside that CTC trailer. Be like a trip down memory lane. Just seeing even the oil cans brought back memories.
Do they have a site with any more pictures?

I don't know. It was really cool. I miss the CT's of yesteryear when you could fix your car in the parking lot!

The old main store on Yonge at Davenport in Toronto was something else. We would go there as kids and spend hours just walking around. wooden Floors, conveyor belts to bring parts from the warehouse, it was jammed. If you couldn't find it there it didn't exist. Remember this was a time whne they sold guns and ammo. It was too cool to hold a side by side stage coach shootgun in the middle of downtown Toronto, under Dad's supervison! Today I don't think I could get 6 steps out my front door with one in my hands before the ETF decended on my house. Got my first Daisey BB gun there too.

And to the photos, I love that 62 as well. What was the last year for the 261 in green?
