WOW...looks like a winner!. On shipping, did you see my note in the Radium show thread?. If you get the car, PM me and I'll lay the guy w/ the truck's name and # on you as it may be worth a try?.
My name is PeteLeathersac and I am a Postaholic.. Yes admitting it is the first step but here's the rest of my story;
My first Post was a '68 Chevelle.. My Post secondary education came from having a '69 442 Post.. My third Post was a '70 442 factory W25 hood car and I've had Post traumatic stress disorder ever since I let it go?. I had hoped having the Ghost-Post would help my condition but the syndrome seems to be worsening now w/ most dreams being of Posts from coast to coast!.
A toast and tire roast to all who host and boast Posts!.

Hey! dont forget the postman, in Clinton 2 and counting
I don't have any pics. But if anyone is looking for a solid car I would be happy to pass on contact info to the owner and let him make his own decisions. Just send me a PM with contact info.
Rick
I'm calling SHOTY on the 2+2 for Hillar, everyone else back off. If you want to know why they call me Big Ray just go to the swag post and see for yourself. lol
You guys could fly out and drive back. Need places to stay? Calgary can be arranged without a problem. Need a place to check out the cars? Calgary can be arranged without a problem. I have space, tools, and a hoist. Also until I convince the wife to move to the "right" spot, we have space for some visitors.
The "right" spot would have more garages than bedrooms.

I want it too ! I wonder how is the rust situation and if it is a buckets-console car. It would be a good candidate to put in my 70 455 in and, stach away in the corner of the garage, that little 350. I love these one owner cars well taken care of...not too many around anymore.

When does the snow start to fly ? We better get on this ASAP and start palnning Hillar and Ray's Excellent Pontiac Adventure. Now all we need is a stop in Saskatchewan and maybe one in Ontario, North Bay anyone?
Don't forget that low miler Laurentian that Todd wanted is in Saskatoon ?.
And why not make the adventure complete w/ Steve's bus out of Edmonton?. You could tow at least one of the cars plus have somewhere to sleep and party...also have extra room for any 'girls gone wild' you meet along the way!.

That all sounds great but are we not making one HUGE assumption? Does anybody on here really think that this convoy of nearly 40 year old cars and trucks and buses is going to make this trip trouble free? I like to be an optimist but I need a reality check too..... As long as my CAA is paid up and I have addresses of members along the way I suppose it could be pulled off.
One big problem is that kijiji ad, still have no answers to my questions and there is no phone number.
This would have to be viewed as an adventure!!!! My assumption on these trips is that I "Have visa, will travel". I know on the prairies you have help available, maximum 1 day away. The 2+2 was driven from Vancouver Island to Calgary in the 24 hours after it was purchased, without problems. High heat won't be a problem.

Step #1 Is the post car worthwhile? Step #2 Is the bus worthwhile? Step #3 Is the 2+2 worthwhile?
If yes Book flights for Oct 9th. Get all vehicles together in Calgary Oct 10th. Inspect and prep on Oct 10th. Hit the road Oct 11th. Overnight Winnipeg 11th or 12th. Overnight North Bay 12th or 13th. Back to work 15th.

First the album cover shot now this whole adventure w/ Big Ray and a bus...strange but it's starting to sound like another tour in the old bus for Big Ray Benson and his Asleep at the Wheel group!.
Wish I could go too!!!

I also don't fancy having Thanksgiving dinner in a Swiss Chalet! Thanksgiving is one of the few times a year where our whole family gets together. I can just hear my Dad now: "you're going where? to get another friggin' car ?!?!? like you don't have enough now?" I would risk losing access for life to my Mother's special dressing. Sorry, that's too big of a risk to take!
