69' Endura nose, how high will it go!

ebay endura

Seems to be in very nice shape, I think I should have hung onto the two I sold two years ago! These things are getting pretty rare.
If you could make a nice reproduction you could make a few bucks...Todd.

I hear ya. I'm actually just heading out to look at 2 69 parts cars. Here's hoping they have good beaks!

        Cool,
Just a reminder Todd... I'm looking for a perfect decklid, one without the dreaded "bend up" betwen the lights syndrome that some are afflicted with from the factory. Any 69 Parisienne or GP lid will work. Rag, 2 or 4 door are all the same.

Keep your eyes peeled!

Cheers, Mark.

Just got back (I work every other Saturday-hence I work next weekend). These cars are really rough. Still, there are some usable parts but you have to buy them first. The old guy had his grandkids take us to the car. When I got back from seeing them he was gone so I just came home. One is a Grand Parisienne, the other is a Parisienne ragtop. Of course I had my camera!

The nose on the GP is borderline-very rough textured but not cracked. It was bowed out at the bottom. GP grilles are decent. Front bumper had rot out in a couple of spots:

Interior toast. Dash pad looked decent:

Mark, here is a decent rear bumper core with the endura insert:
Sept08065.jpg
Both cars are buried up to the floorpans. I fear they may both break if you attempt to move them.
Sept08066.jpg
I tried to get a shot of the diff. Looks like the standard 10 bolt to me
Sept08068.jpg
I forgot an engine shot. Both cars are 2bbl 350's
Here's the convertible. It is much worse than the Grand Parisienne:
Mark-the stainless around the back window looked decent though

Sept08070.jpg

It's been there so long a tree had grown up and pushed in the left rear 1/4
Sept08073.jpg
Oddly, the rear bumper was decent
Sept08074.jpg
The nose was pretty much gone on this one:

In summary- I'm certain the ragtop couldn't be moved without it breaking in two. The GP perhaps. I still may buy the GP if the owner can somehow drag it out of the bush. I have to look into towing it home-it's about 45 miles from my place. The owner woudn't put a price on the ragtop-I think he think's its worth a pile of money. Not sure if he could be talked into pulling parts off it.
It's sad to see them this rough but it's typical of these cars when exposed to our climate.

Those pictures are really hard to look at Todd. But it's cool that you're able to find these things. Obviously they're still out there to be found, for those willing to actually look.

Was that topwell trip completely undented? Sounds like it's a lost cause to even think that part could be removed, since the guy thinks the car has big value.
How were the "350" emblems.
Why are you even after the gp?

Mark.

The emblems had some pitting. I figured the Grand Parisienne(GP for short) would still offer lots of trim bits as well as mechanical pieces. With these cars being so hard to find, you pretty much have to jump on them when they pop up. Also, the Grand Parisienne has a nice tinted windshield. I doubt he has any ownerships for them so my other concern is what to do with the rest of the car once I strip it of what I want- most scrap yards won't take a car without an ownership. If I lived in the country I wouldn't care but here in town I'd have to strip it and get rid of it fairly quickly.
I'll call the owner later and feel him out for the convt trim. From what I remember it was good. Dave, are you sure most came with 12 bolts? Mine is a 10. Mark, didn't you mention that you wanted a endura rear bumper? Maybe it was someone else.

Todd

'most' i've seen have had 12 bolts.
alot of scrap collectors will take a car w/out ownership, least up this way.

From what I've seen, the trans determines the diff ratio, which dictates 10 or 12 bolt.Meaning Power glide or 3spd.Unless an optional gear was ordered.Or even a 6cyl could have a Taller gear.

From that "fin" visible above the panhard rod, I would say it was a 12 bolt.  Were you unable to count the bolts at least on one side?

No, it was so low to the ground all I could do was shove the camera under the car, point it in the general direction of the diff and snap a photo..

I am guessing it looks like a 10. It appears to have one bolt on the bottom right in the center. Tough call...

Whatever it is, it'd probably be rusted through.

there is a guy out here in alberta who has a wrecking yard that has tons of parts for these cars.i get all my parts for my 68 from him.he keeps the old cars and crushes the newer ones.he is i little pricey but the parts are decent.i figure he has over 200 acres of cars.last time i was there there was at least 12 68 cars there.they don't use much salt here so the bodies are decent.

What is the fate of the cars on photo?I see that it is set in 2008 but I hope that there are still. I'd like some part.

I don't know. They were in Paris Ont. I don't know if I could remember how to get to where they were. Owner wanted $750 for both.

I think that it's not expensive and they are in Serbia, I would take. If they are alive, it would be nice.
