Newbie on site. From Aldergrove, B.C.

I never knew this site existed. I am impressed with the content.

I own a numbers matching 1973 GTO. The car just recieved a full frame off rotiserrie restoration that was completed in April of this year. I bought the car from the original owner back in early 1985.

I have entered the car in a few shows this year. It was sure nice to talk to the people about the car.

Hope you like the pictures.

Looking at the rest of the site and the pictures of Ray's (73sc), I believe that Ray may be the person who I sold my original parklamps to. I think. I know it was a Ray in Ontario. Maybe it is a coincidence.

Todd; I have not been able to go through all the pics yet. Here are a few that I do have at the moment. Only NOS parts or the original parts that were rebuilt were used on the restoration. Right down to the date coded spark plug wires. I did not keep the car entirely stock though. I upgraded the motor, tranny and exhaust that I felt should have been on the car from the factory. I kept it stock in appearance. It took 4 years to gather all the parts. We started the restoration about 2 years into the gathering of the parts. The restoration took 2 years to complete. Mike

Mike, welcome to the site.  Beautiful car.  I echo the earlier post about 70's cars, it sure is nice to see them being valued and restored.  Nice job.  Jeff

It's true there is only one. Also true that Mike and I know each other through the internet and my car does indeed have Mike's original parking lamps in it.
Welcome aboard Mike! Car looks fantastic. Mine was Ascot Silver originally as well. thumbsup.gif

That sure is a nice car Mike. 73 is probably the most overlooked year for a GTO. Welcome to the site.

Welcome aboard ! There was one of these for sale in Winnipeg a little over a year ago, I still kick myself for not buying it. That 73 GTO had a 455 and was silver with black stripes and black interior, one owner-low mileage car too ! What size engines does yours have ?

Thanks to everyone for welcoming me to the board.

The car has the 400CID numbers matching block, however, it is now built rated at 427 horsepower. It is a lot different than the 230 horsepower that the stock motor rating was. I have not put the car on a dyno yet as I have just broken the motor in. I will be doing that in the spring after taking the car out of hibernation. I have about 1800 miles on the motor now. All I can tell you is that I am quite impressed with the power that the motor produces.
