One day back about 30 years ago I saw a flock of NCE ragtop conversion Camaros & Firebirds sitting outside Kerr Industries in Oshawa..
I stopped for a quick look, probably 50-100 cars there...mostly Camaros I think..
I've often wished I'd jumped the fence and noted some Vins that day...or at least taken a picture..

That's the first blue one i've seen. I've seen red ones before. I have to say i've never seen any of the Camaros. Did they just make them for 79 or did they round out that style and go up to 81?

Here's some NCE Camaro info lifted off the net...no idea if the production info quoted is factual or not?.

"...Second generation Camaro Convertibles are very rare since they were custom built by National Coach Engineering, in Port Schenlic Michigan, when the cars were new. There were no factory convertibles built during this period of production. There were about 400 Camaros converted to convertibles (according to information I was given) from 1979-1980..."
