Sometimes it's good to have green interior

I got a call from a friend of mine who works at NOS reproductions. They came across a set of Pontiac floor mats in green while doing inventory and wanted to know if I was interested in them. WAS I?! What are the odds of finding a set of floor mats in a box that say "1969 IMPALA FLOOR MATS" that have this logo and are an exact match with my carpet?:

I got my CP discount too! Only problem is they are too nice to put my feet on!

Todd, I once saw the owner od a red GTO with white interior open his trunk when he arrived at the cruise and he took out WHITE Pontiac OEM floor mats and put them in the car. Just carry them in the trunk and put them in when you are parked. Very nice mat btw!

Nice score. That is an incredible find. I wish something like that was available for my 73. I had to have floor mats made from carpet, but they do not look like the ones you found. I agree with Ray, use them for show only as you won't find another set like those, ever.

Since dad had a 73 new I can tell you that the original mats were colour keyed rubber/vinyl with the GM logo on the front pair. No carpet mats except GA and GP. You can find NOS from time to time but the reproductions for the Firebird and Camaro 1970 to 1981 are the same. That's what I have in my car. Ames or PY or NOS will have them.

Oh Dave, that Pontiac envy is going to make you want to have a fire sale to get rid of that Ch**y one day....
