I suspect that is exactly what it is, I mean, errr......, exactly what it will be!

I think too that it really has Corvette written on it, but I wonder if the lid is not the original.

here's a '69 nova housing, looks similar, it has the crankcase vent attachment.

And that base on the pic you posted has the drivers snorkel pointed down as does mine. The only thing is, mine has no breather inlet provision.

the base is no doubt gm, the carb opening has the Qjet aligning notch.
