Brought home another project today

As if I needed another project!  Found a decent 89 Trans Am GTA this week when all I was looking for was a L89 350 engine for my 87 IROC project. Can't help myself. I think it's in  better shape than the IROC. Took me 2 days to get it home. Started out Saturday morning by train to Windsor, (thanks to Todd for the lift to the train station) 3 hours later,  I was in the car heading back to Ingersoll. It died outside of Chatham. Computer, MAF sensor, I don't know.
Had to get Jill to come and rescue me. She was not a happy camper, and the ride home was kinda silent. Went back today and got it on a trailer to my buddy's shop. We will check it out tomorrow. That's the last time I will do that!
Guess it's time to buy my own car trailer, or better still quit buying projects. That makes 5 cars sitting. This is some kind of addiction I think.

It's a good addiction.

i got the silent treatment when i went to go pick up the wife at work and it dies around the corner from her work. The worst part is that her sister and brother-in-law from england just got into town to stay with us a couple days.Long story but her and her sister have only met for the first time the week before so she was a little "upset" that we were standing in a parking lot waiting for a towtruck. now if i had 5 cars i would more than likely be single!!!

It's a "Plain Jane" Eldorado, pearl white, blue leather interior finned aluminum wheels, slider, you know a cheap car, only the kind I buy because nobody else wants it. Asking $2,800 so I offered $1,400, just waiting for the call.

Maybe it's because we've only been married for a little over a year, but my wife didn't mind my buying the parts Firebird. Of course, i got it stripped and out of the driveway in 3 months. I don't think i would want to press my luck too much. But thankfully for her lack of money...and space...prevents me from having more vehicles.

When you need parts, my buddy Scott has several 3rd gens for parts. Just PM me or call Redline Auto in Thamesford 519 285 3777

Me and my wife made a deal. What I spend on cars.....she gets the same in a ring. The rock will be so big now, that she won't be able to lift her hand biggrinbiggrin

Parts eh, hmmm, and Thamesford, not far at all.
My wife's a good sport even if she hates the car. Why you might ask, because it's too low! Oh well i still get my toy, of course if i start spending more time with it than her, i have a feeling the car won't fair to well in that fight, and i'd probably end up scraped up to!

I got too many, 65Camino might step up to the plate on this one. biggrin

But thinking on it now, in a two or three block radius from Caddyshack there are 3 Fleetwoods, 5 Deviiles, 2 Seville STS ands the super rare 75 Fleetwood Ambulance, so maybe our little corner of the world is Caddyville.

Does it seem ironic to anyone else that the star of Caddyshack was Ch**y Chase?

Foghorn Leghorn! biggrin One of my favourites!  We need to add some smilies with those kinds of characters!

Already had an SS, I tell you boys a Northstar powered Caddy Deville is faster, that's why we call them "Muscle Cars in a Tuxedo".  Now the Fleetwood on the other hand is like a freight train, once its up to speed don't ask it to stop!

Like I said it is  so nice I am such a saint, I don't mind being poked fun at, it's a sign of envy...right?

I hope to have the GTA running by Monday. My buddy Scott has been plugging away at it when he's had the time. He found some problems, but it's looking like a fuel pump. Have to drop the tank this weekend.
