I've been following it too but am disappointed the guy's been restamping some parts..
The car looks deadly in black and as a low mile L72 is something special on it's own but especially if it's Nickey provenance can be proven, the restamp foolishness seems a fly in the pie..

I agree 100%. If you want your car correct, the parts are out there but when you find them they aren't cheap. Put on the wrong stamped part and carry on..Nobody will think any less of the car. IMO
The owner of the car really seems to be trying his hardest to have it recognized as a Nickey car. Maybe it's not, maybe it is.?

No pressure, if it doesn't work I will likely be in to the city in the next week or two.

It is too bad that he is going to fake some documentation and restamp the VIN on parts. But at least he is honest about it which helps, not like other guys out there that aren't so honest and pass cars off.

Seems my posting hicupped...or SD396 has some magical powers to knowing the future?.

You're right Andrew, he has admitted the restamping but lets hope when he learns more and understands what he really has he looses the bs stampings and lets the car's true pedigree stand on it's own..
