A first class restoration will run $75-100K so given what that other one sold for last year, there is still lots of scope to make a profit.
Wow is right, but come on.....he still has to find a motor and tranny and will eat up his profit. If I had $226,000 I wouldn't be buying a rusty 63 Lemans. It does show that Pontiac's can still bring good money. I wish I could be in the more money than brains club
Rumour has it that a certain Mr. Jay Leno may be the ultimate purchaser, so I don't think money is really a factor here, it is having something unique that no one else can have. As Ray pointed out, the front clip and drivetrain have been located, so I think we will see this car put back together right.
