Yea,we were Blessed with great weather. One week later and it would have been a small disaster.I like having fun at the track with it.Runs 13.1 @ 103 and 11.50's at 118 with a 200 hp shot of n2o .It surprised me,I thought it would run low 12's weighing 4200 lbs with driver.
Ya it was tubbed when I bought it a few years ago, this passed spring I got the body and paint, and interior done. Two winters ago I built the 454 and th400.
I remember seeing a '65ish Beaumont wagon race in Gimli a few times about 7-10 years ago when I used to race. I loved that car but I can't remember if it was tubbed like yours and I think it was silver.
I also remember your Firebird back then. I think you were running well into the 9's and still driving it to Gimli from the city. Definatly one of the nicest street cars around.
Ya it was neat driving them around together. The wagon you saw at Gimli was the same car before I owned it.Cant remember what it ran,12 somethings I think. What car did you race back then?
Nothing special, an '85 Cutlass small block primer grey ran mostly 13.0's and I got a few 12.9's. If I wasn't racing I'd be in the pitts with my buddy Jeff with his '70 Challenger flat black "South of Heaven" and Don with his '67 Cougar (back when he was in Pro ET) and others.
