The 68 Strato Chief wagon had a rusty frame, and most of the others I couldn't be bothered with. My 60 Biscayne is for sale, as the Idea for a winter car was there, but I decided I want an automatic...LOL
The Grand Prix kinda fell into my lap, went over to a buddies place and he was showing me his latest...(70 Buick Estate wagon) and he mentioned that he had his daughters car for sale.  Thought about it , and bought it.
Its fully loaded including a sunroof, 169,XXXKms, the only thing wrong is the power window aren't working as well as the dash lights.  Don't know whats wrong with them.  Changed fuses and relays, but still nuthing.  Any ideas?

Nice deal. Now if that car were in Ontario it would be rotted to oblivion and it would still cost more.

I tried working on my power windows on a 1987 4 Runner. I finally took it to the dealer. I blew the main switch which was alot of money, so the guy ran a jumper wire so the driver side window would work till I got the money. I never did go back.

Did that 70 Tempest ever sell by you??

my parents had a 94 grand prix, they loved it, until they rolled in it on the 402.Walked away with just some minor cuts from the windsheild. My dad said the cruise was on and they hit black ice and it wouldent shut off. After that they got a 2003 grand prix and my dad uses that for work (he also has a 2006 ford 350 for his 5th wheel) and my mom now has a 2008 dodge charger. THEY BOTH STILL LOVE THE GRAND PRIX'S THOUGH.

Actually I haven't been down past his place for a bit. So I'm not sure if he sold it or not. I'll have to drive by and check it out

I used a test light and there is power going to the switch in the door, but I haven't tried a jumper wire yet. I did that on a 66 Toronado I had and it was the main power feed to the switch, ran another one and never had a problem.

Ken, remove the headlamp switch and jump terminals I and H (gry/blk and gry) on the switch using the first diagram. My buddy has a '96 and this what I had to do due to a faulty dimmer!
As for the windows, check for power on terminal D-brown and a ground at terminal F-black. Are both windows inop??? You can always jump the motors directly to ensure the motors are not at fault!! Let us know......

Ohhh, just noticed--bad pics!!! Will try and get better ones!!!

Neither window works, As for the headlight switch, I will try that, had an Astro van that did the same thing.

Thanks for your replies, I think I did OK with this one,  HAHAHA Touch wood.
