Wow, very nice indeed......

I looked at your web page and have a question. Is this an original V8 car? I was just wondering about the production figures. I have a friend in the US who has a 66 SD but his was a 6 originally.

"Edit"

Never mind, I think I found the answer in the Acadian production thread. It appears that is the V8 number. Anyone know the 6 cyl number?

Carl my SD was originally a Six banger with a Powerglide.  I believe that there were a total of 552 Canso SD's  produced in 1966, this includes sixes and eights. There were 63 Acadians of all models built with L79's in 1966. I ordered one in April of 1966 and received it in June. There was a total of six L-79's in Calgary, back then, of which two were Acadians and four were Nova's. Jack Carter Chevrolet ran one in the Shell 4000 rally in '66. (The car finished 12th.)

I understand that there were a total of 144 Canadian made L79's produced in Novas and Acadians in 1966.

Here's a link to the 1966 Shell 4000 results:

Cheers,

I don't usually drool over the 66-67 cars, but this is the "prettiest" I have ever seen  C2
