I used to get Lonestar with shows like The Rifleman,Have Gun Will Travel and Steve McQueen as a bounty hunter. Buggers changed it to a movie channel. Fall Guy Chips Space 1999 to name a few
I have the entire series on DVD, it really helps one get through the cruel months of winter!
I think this thread may have been inspired by a conversation I had with Todd at his place a couple of weeks ago. We were both lamenting the lack of anything good on TV and how great the series of our youth were. The great thing about these series are that you are familiar with all characters but because it has been so long since you saw the original episodes, you don't remember any of the details and it is like watching them for the first time. I've got to go upstairs and get the list of all the shows I have on DVD, I could run my own 1960's TV station!
I agree that there are very few series on TV today that are worth watching and I too wish Rogers would just allow us to pick individually the stations we wish to watch without having to take all the other crap on the side. I'd pick about a dozen channels, maybe 15 tops and that would be it and one of those would be TVLand!
BTW, for those of you who are fans of Trailer Park Boys, the final one hour episode to wrap up the series will be airing the evening of Sunday, Dec. 7.

There used to be a game show on in the early 70's and they would have a bunch of new cars lined up. You would win a key and had to guess which one it started. I remember clearly a 74 or so Firebird being one of the cars in the line up. Anyone remember the name of this show?
Damn, how'd I forget Hawaii Five O for sure. Ive got the first 3 season. A couple more, cartoons; Wacky Races Wait Till Your Father Gets Home. And for you west coast folks, who could forget JP Patches week day mornings.

Great call Hillar with Hawaii 5-0, and thanks for the link. I have numerous "Ventures" albums, cassettes, and 8 tracks with that tune, and they sound great on the 8 track in the convertible. While in Honolulu a few years ago, I caught the show on a local station. They were playing episodes from the first season (first season closing credits are shown over a police motorcycle going down Kalakaua Avenue, later season closing credits are over the dudes in an outrigger canoe). First season must have been low budget, as a red Cougar was the victims car in one episode, and someone elses car in the next episode. The show would not have been the same without the theme song (kind of like Peter Gunn without the Henry Mancini composition).
