I heard about this weeks ago. Not really a surprise though, what is Pontaic now, retrimmed Toyotas, Chevys and Holdens. It's a business no brainer.
On another front a guy who works with me is from India and he says GM India is just hiring 500 new employees. They market GM's as Chevrolets there regardless of what model it might be here.
Chevy, Cadillac and GMC (designing Chevy Trucks) are viable and Buick still has value as it is the largest selling North American car in China.
Canadian Poncho will buy Pontiac. Look for all your favorite models in 2011:
Laurentian
Strato Chief
Parisienne
2+2
We will also offer a 2011 Acadian and Beaumont
I wonder if GM of Canada has ever kept up the trademarks on these names? If not, I wonder if we should by them for when we are all rich and will have a car company to use them on.

Now that is a question! Will they be sold as Canadian Ponchos, or just sold through Canadian Poncho dealers? can they be serviced, at a Toyota shop, or will that void warranty? or will there be a warrany? and so on
