After about 4 days in a row of rush hour snow here in Hog Town, watching wild spinning drivers (185 accidents on Monday on 401 alone) I gotta ask.....How's your daily driver in the Snow?
With over 4,000 lbs., V8, front wheel drive, ABS, traction control, stabili-trac and toss in new tires mine is a beast, rivals my 4X4.

What about yours?
With over 6000 lbs. V8 2,auto,4 wheel drive, ABS, traction control, stabili-trac and new Blizzack's ours is a Tank! throw in 21mpg @ 80 mph WE is great!!!
Mine's great ... 2006 GMC 1500, 4x4, reg. cab, long box, ABS, traction control, stabil-trac, with winters on it, and 2 tractor wheel weights safely secured in the box above the rear axle. I love winter driving in my truck, although we have no snow here right now (we did get half a foot a couple weeks ago, but it's been raining since).

Sunday was the first real bad driving here in Calgary. My F-150 with 22" Scorpion tires was a disaster. This is a 4x4 and even though I knew it was dicey and was real slow, I was not comfortable at all. Acceleration was OK, braking and turning were the problem. Monday I ordered a set of wheels and my Tire guy finally found some tires this morning. The only worse tire I had was Goodyear high performance on my 01 Camaro.

The Park Ave has all the same gizmo as Ray's Caddy. No snows-just new Michelin Harmony's and it works great. The snow sometimes confuses the rain-sensing wipers though.
scorpions arnt even good in the rain let alone snow
my 1994 jeep grand cherokee with Winter force " firestones" ecomomy snows acts like there is no snow @ all & hums a nice tune for you once you get over 60km/h quite peacefull really

I have an 03 Chev Avalanche Z51, but I prefer my 97 Caddi Deville as I have to go into downtown London every workday into a tiny parking lot and the Avalanche is just a pig in tight quarters. Couldn't sell the Caddi for $2500 with a Safety so I might as well drive it. So I'm selling the Avalanche before gas prices go up again.
Studs, rear defogger(on beaumont), good washer pumps, interior car warmers, great heaters, dual block heaters(just incase), big ugly mudflaps, etc, etc. And tonnes of oil spray underneath!

The Scorpions seemed to be great in the summer. Wet roads were OK because the truck has AWD. On Sunday, I came to a stop on a downhill section of road and THEN the truck started to slide downhill. I ended up stopping when I touched the curb

I presume the Scorpion tread is a mudder style.. They act like farm tractor tire.. They sit "on ''the ice, and wont dig in.. They are great in all 3 other seasons....tireman

I got a 1995 Chevy 1500 Ext cab 4X4 with a set of BFGs on it. Great when it's snowing, but I take the wife's front wheel drive when it's icey...less weight to stop.
Lower on the food chain down here in Welland, but the LT1 roadmaster is awesome-my wife has had one for 5 years with no winter complaints !
Rear wheel Drive ! if it does get slightly out of control we have a fighting chance of pulling it back ?
The mustang I bought for my wife is fine too even though others say different. I just find it a little small when your all dressed in winter clothing and loading two kids !

Does it have traction control ? I find my Fleetwood kicking in almost constantly with all that torque spinning the rear wheels. The big Caddy is a handful for my girls to drive so they opt for the Suburban.
