Neat photo of the CN Tower construction. Awesome cars all over! In that last pic too bad the Cuda and Challenger weren't going the same way, do'in a little street racing. Challenger might only be a six or maybe a 318, but i wonder with that spoiler.
For those not familiar with T.O. the Eaton's is at hwy 401 and Dufferin and it does not look like that anymore. anyone live down there with a recent photo. I have more of the CN tower. not with cars in them.

I love digging into a question like this. It's amazing what we have at our fingertips today!
1965...
Close to the same view today... Yorkdale Rd in forground.
Looking at Yorkdale from above, one can still see the old Eaton's building buried deep within the new... Circle shows the aprox. point of the 1965 shot taken from a 401 ramp.
Eatons was a great store, shame really. Never thought I'd have any sentiment for a store, but I do.

Great job on that, For me it was a Family Saturday out every week . guess it is what parents did back then. i moved away from the city in 92 . can't remember what it looked like then.
We grew up on malls. Now I'm only really in them at Christmas. But yes, it was a family thing like you say, and I have many nice warm memories tied together with shopping with my parents. I worked in one when I was young, and it was the place to be if you wanted to have a good selection of girls. I met my first wife working there. The social scene in a mall was unreal, and you'd not know just how much went on unless you actually worked there. We felt we really had the run of the place in 76-77!
Cheers, Mark
