They sure look similar to 64 GTO. It's not the same is it?

I found a picture of a 64, but it is on the bottom edge of the car. SD chrome is up 3" or 4" from the bottom. It still could be close.

I think I have a pair for GTO. I can see if I can find them and measure if you haven't ever seen them.

The GTO is a one peice that runs on the bottom rocker. Looking at yours it looks like a 3 piece? It also is mounted  higher than the GTO.

I didn't catch that. You are right. The contour looks the same. If so, it would be easy for a stainless worker to make a set out of GTO pieces if the contour matches.

A couple of questions---

I thought they are stainless steel but in one picture they look almost like a cast piece?

Do they attach with normal spring type molding clips?

Is there supposed to be a molding behind the back wheel or are they just between the front and rear wheel opening only?

The three pieces have the same profile as each other, but the rear piece behind the tire is different and is the same as the custom Beaumont trim level. The three pieces are mounted on clips that push into holes in the body. The clips are not part of the trim. Is the 64 GTO trim a solid piece of aluminum or is it molded and thin. Do you have a profile of the GTO trim that you could post and measure? Thanks

I believe the trim is stainless and is curled on the two sides for the clips to go in. Those are metal clips that screw into the rocker and a hole at each end of the trim. Your best place for GTO info is either Ultimate gto.com or go to Performance Years forum. Ultimate has a lot of pic's and you can also ask Sean to post your problem on his user list. I'll post your Question on PY forums and get a measurement on it for you

The profile from the end photo would matter the most. Does anybody have a end photo of both the examples posted here? 64 GTO or 64 Chevelle

I am looking for the sport deluxe rocker trim only, (Fender, door, behind the door). The piece behind the rear tire is a piece that is common to both custom and SD trim levels. I also need this. Hope this post helps.

Sorry, I didn't follow the post. The white SD has the wrong lower chrome on it. The sd trim does sit up higher like the car in my avatar. Custom trim levels are the length of the rocker in one piece.

Now that I'm not sure of, but it looks longer. If somebody has a GTO one, it should be 24" long.

64 Goat does not have trim behind the rear wheels as far as I've ever seen. If it has, it has been added.

I sure hope I have those pieces around still. I will try to look for them this weekend. They are likely out in an old shed where there is no power for lights. A daylight search will be easier.
